cancer cannot stop me
My name is Willerd Nelson. On December 18th, I went to the ER because my body didn’t feel right — I was throwing up, sick, and something just wasn’t normal. On December 22rd, I found out I had cancer caused by Roundup, the weed killer.
In 2018, I began my first fight with cancer. I went through six months of chemo treatments and had ten spinal taps with chemo. It was one of the hardest battles of my life. Then in 2019, on my birthday, I went into remission. I stayed in remission for six years.
On March 16th, 2026, I learned that the cancer had come back. Now I’m on a new journey — a second fight — and I’m ready to beat this again. I believe I will, because of my doctors, my healthcare team, my caseworkers, my family, and everyone who supports me.
My gaming community, Gamer Sanctuary 904, is also standing with me. They’re helping me stay strong and reminding me that I’m not fighting alone. Together, we’re going to beat this cancer and show it who’s boss.
